The Farmer & The LegacyJairo Arcila worked as a mill manager for Colombia’s second-largest coffee exporter for over 40 years. In 1987, he purchased his first farm, Finca La Esmeralda, as a side project. Eventually, his operations grew to six farms, including Santa Monica.His sons, Carlos and Felipe Arcila, are co-founders of the prominent green bean exporting company Cofinet. With their guidance, Jairo pivoted to specialty coffee, experimenting with exotic varietals and cutting-edge processing methods.
